Default Jun Dyno Anyone?

anybody have any info on gains that could b expected from a jun flywheel? mayb u know of results from similar cars or something. i've heard from other car guys that the gains usually don't justify the cost. let me know; thanks.

had one on the ITR, and it was pretty fun to drive. made the daily grind a little less tolerable, but i love manual transmissions and shifting so it was fine for me.

As for power, I don't really know. The car was stolen before it was dyno'd. I'm sure it's worthwhile for the Z. It's not a particularly quick revving car now so the flywheel should only help.

Sorry, man. I was going to get it dynoed yesterday, but there wasn't enough time for Technodyne to get me in. I'll try to remember to do it sometime within the next couple of weeks if time permits.

cb, do u have a ur crank pulley, too? i'm worried about the pulley and flywheel combo. regardless, what do u think of the upgrade; does it receive your seal of approval? thanks.

I enjoy the JUN flywheel immensely. I wouldn't be too worried about the pulley and flywheel; they perform the same functions as the OEM parts, but are just lighter.

I have the Nismo R-type flywheel and the UR pulley's. No adverse effect yet. I can definitely feel throttle response and power gains, I wouldn't hesitate to make the mods.

Yeah..I'd like to see some dynos too. Especially with the 1st and 2nd gears where the Z feels a bit lazy. From the power felt in 4th and 5th, you'd think 1st and 2nd would be crazy, but it's not. I'm sure that heavy stock flywheel has something to do with that.
I've read that the lower the gear, the more gain from a lighter flywheel. So I guess a 5th gear pull won't represent the advantage so well.
