I plan on doing VB soon so i'd also like to get an idea on price... Can everyone post what they paid for the parts and labor (if any)?

OK, you described Stillen's product as "junk" and are now implying that Level 10 be catagorized similarly. I am not saying you are wrong (you are probably WAY more knowledgeable about this than I will ever be!), but rather than simply making such broad negative assessments, please let us know the problems/deficiencies in these products.
Thanks

Ok level ten has a horrible reputation on this and other forums about faliures galore.Stillens v/b is just a tad better then stock which is fine if you are after that but for performance it just isnt up to the task.I drove a members car before i made my choice and found the stillen he had just not acceptable for any kind of higher performance that it was desinged for.By this i mean if you are into performance the stillen just dosent add up as the shifts are not made fast enough. What i mean by this is if you are forced induction you will see that the stillen will still not shift fast enough to keep you from hitting the rev limiter. The other v/bs that have been mentioned will allow you to shift when and at what rpm you want and not hit the rev limiter. When you hit the rev limiter it just kills all power........so that shoul be it in a nutshell.

Sorry for the long dragged out post as i am getting lit up.

Apparently they've never watched Spinal Tap... otherwise they would realize if they were level 11 it would be better

So I notice that gtmotorsports is selling a VB upgrade for about 250. Is this also a DIY kit like what Forged sells or is this totally different? What about the quality is it any good or is it like the stillen just a little better?

OK, got it. My car is not FI and, at least for my purposes, I think the Stillen upgrade is just about perfect. After reading some of these posts though, I was becoming concerned that my valve body would probably crap out at any moment

GTM and FP use the same kits...made by transgo.
I dont think Stillen uses that kit, since theirs shifts very differently from the trango package.

Could be a little more clear? DP not sure what kit that is? Even though both are made from Transgo is there difference between the two? Does this mean that this is a DIY kit and is it any good?

As for the Stillen, I was referring to the fact that people were saying Stillen's kit is a little better than stock. Now what I am wondering is, if this is like the stillen just a little better than stock. Thank you.

I have the GTM valve body and I assume they use this kit, just have their transmission techs work on it themselves. It is not subtle - quite aggressive. Drive in one, just so you know what to expect.

Sorry if it's still not clear.

Both GTM and FP sell the Transgo VB kit for $250. It is a parts kit. You can either DIYS, if you are so inclined, or have a shop install it for you.

I have no idea what Stillen uses in their VB.
