Default Engine Service Soon Light came on...

I was on 95S heading to Orlando. After filling my gas I got back on the highway and that is when I noticed the light came on. I checked my oil and temps and everything is working good. I don't know whats going on. Any ideas? I'm taking it to nissan once I get back to Jax on tuesday.

You should just go to something like Schucks Or Autozone....they well check what the CEL means and they should do it for free.

I see you have an '06. Have you even been low on oil? You might have oil consumption. The first time my check engine light came on, it was because I was almost out of oil, that's how low it was. Took it to the dealer and they lied to me and said that nothing was wrong. Of course they topped off the oil and didn't tell me. I only found that out later. You should get an oil consumption test if you havent already. Good luck!

Its not low on oil I checked it. But I do have an oil consumption problem and nissanusa and my local dealership is aware of it. I just had my oil change done last month and after 500miles when I checked yesterday it looks like I lost about 3-4mm so far! Wanting to order MD spacers and MREV2 but I guess I'll hold off on that..I might be getting a new engine soon. But anyways, I just got back from advance auto parts and they said its the evap....they checked the hoses and recapped the gas cap and reset something. The light is now gone but I'll drive it later on some more I have never had this issue before. I'm afraid its the Evap Canister but he said it good and it doesn't look like its leaking from there. I hope I never see that light on again!

^ +1. It sounds like your gas cap is not on tight.

I get the "check engine soon" light within driving 30 miles after a fill-up of less than 93 octane. Some of the station down here have been charged with putting regualar gas in the high octane tanks, (by mistake of course). BP had the biggest problem..
