Exclamation TechnoSquare ECU Beta Testers, speak out.

Hi Everyone..

i would like like to post this thread up, for some of our beta testers to post their review of the TechnoSquare ECU.

These beta-Testers have been undergoing short and long term tests for us, helping us fine tune the ECU program... Currently they have had the ECUs programmed in their 350Zs for over a month and half , and have been driving their Z almost daily.

Techno understands the importance of a strict testing regiment prior to releasing any product, and the testers have provided excellent feedback on response, fuel usage, and other things.

Hopefully they will post a non-biased review here.

The offical launch of the Technos ECU is this week, probably Wednesday, just trying to get StrictlyZ.com and TechnoSquare on the same page as far as ordering goes.

Thanks for your time.

Cheston

We have been working with Techno Square with our 350Z Grand AM Cup car. We hvae been doing back to back tsting with our other tuned ECU against the Techno Square ECU.
I have had the pleasure of meeting the guys at Techno Square while we were out in California...and let me tell you...
They are some great guys who are truly interested in performance and no BS.
I have delt with a la lot of people in motorsports and in aftermarket products...these guys are some on the neatest guys I have meet
Our first ECU was tuned in Japan and over the stock ECU there was a differnce in lap times at the tracks.
There is a bigger differnece between the first ECU and the TS one......
The Techno Square ECU wins hands down......We tested at Mid Ohio back in March and we where 3.5 seconds faster there last weekend.

Well I've had the Technosquare ECU flash for about 6 weeks now. First let me start off by thanking Tadashi at Technosuare and Cheston for allowing me to be a guinea pig .

I took a trip down to LA and met with Tadashi and Cheston. The ECU flash took a matter of minutes and we were able to do some initial testing right away. It was early on Sunday morning and the streets were empty so I made a couple of runs to 100mph or so. I then let Tadashi take my car out and do some high speed runs as well.
I've had the ECU flash for about 4000 miles (yes I drove that much in 6 weeks )

- I have not experienced any pinging or knocking.
- We dyno'd my car after 700 miles and saw about a 4.8 hp and 5.6 tq gain. (this is from memory, I can post dyno's later)
- MPG was increased by approximately 2 MPG.
- fuel cutoff is now 7100.

The car is running fantastic and I have not had any CEL since the ECU was flashed. I have not experienced a loss in power (ECU correction) for the other mods I have installed (CAI / Exhaust).
I mainly wanted the ECU to ensure that the factory ECU was not trying to correct other bolt on mods. However the increase is MPG was a bonus.
For those of you who already have bolt on mods, this ECU is a must. You are not going to feel a huge gain on the butt dyno from the ECU alone- but it will ensure that the gains are seen long term from your other bolt ons.

Hope this helps- If anyone has any questions please feel free to post here or send me a PM.

Again, a big thanks to Tadashi and Cheston for taking the time and doing this right. I know everyone was very eager to get their ECU flashed ASAP. Technosquare could have easily released a less-than-quality product and sold plenty. Fortunately they decided to hold the ECU to make sure they released a quality upgrade.

Vance- I have a dyno with my car (CAI / Exhaust) before and after the ECU upgrade. I'll post them later tonight when I get home from work.

First off, I'd like to thank Tadashi and Danny at Technosquare, and also Cheston for putting me in contact with them. I've had the ECU installed for about 6 weeks now, and have nothing except positive things to say about it. The flash process only took about 15 minutes, and although I haven't dyoned the car yet, the good ol' butt dyno definitely feels more power once you hit 4800rpms...my gas mileage has stayed pretty much the same, right around 22.8mpg-23.1mpg, and i havent had any pinging or knocking....its also nice having the fuel cutoff raised to 7100 so your motor doesnt cutout on you if you shift a millisecond too late...anyways, the car runs great, and thanks again to Cheston, Tadashi, and Danny.

Will a dealership Know that I have this? or is it easy to hide. If I clear out Codes on my own(using the self test mode) Will that mess up your Program? Can it be set back to the Stock Program if i need to take it in to the dealership? How Can all of this be done if I live in Dallas and need my Car every day????

Cheston,
If you use the following manual procedure the reset the ECU, will it erase the TS programing ?
Here is the link to the procedure:

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....ight=reset+ecu

Secondly,
Are any of your beta testers using a STOCK Z. I mean no MODS at all this includes large wheels and tires ? The only way to get a true DYNO is completely stock.

chazzg/alphaz

please read the long thread in my signature. answers alot of questions..

the dealer will not know that you have the ecu

the resetting of the Ecu will NOT delete the program.

testors of the ecu range from slightly modified, to heavily modified to stock..

I smell free sway bars

Her name is Courtney Day. She is a model at lots of different car shows. You can see lots of her appearances at the Car And Model web site in the galleries of various car shows.
http://www.carandmodel.com

Her latest appearance on that site is in the "Extreme Autofest - After Dark 2003" show galleries. In this particular show she has sort of a "skanky" look going on (but only a little), while she normally has that very cute look.

She has appeared in a lot of prior shows on that site, but I don't recall which ones in particular off the top of my head.

Do I get free sway bars now?
