it can if your willing to spend money (read bigger injectors, prolly a return fuel system, stand alone ems, etc)

rrev does e85 tuning and they got some pretty impressive results on supra's, e85 is great cause its about 105 octane

The guy is asking because its cheaper gas not because the octan level is better. Do you think he is willing to spend the extra money on all the stuff?

That being said if I had the money it would pretty cool because its rated at 105.

Hmmm.. $3.79 for 93 and $2.95 for E85...

I'm well aware that E85 is rated close to 100oct and is 85% Ethanol, I'm also well aware that Indy cars now run on E98.

Nothing wrong with asking a question. I figured the crap would destroy the seals and @#%k the computer up though.. hence why I asked. So spare me the "he must be cheap and runs 89 and changes the oil once a year when the Pepboys $14.99 special rolls around" crap.

It may be cheaper, but you will get much worse gas mileage... E85 has a higher octane rating, but it contains less energy then gas per a specific volume as compared to gasoline - hence the need for larger injectors.

For your purposes, it is not the way to go.

e85 is great for being boosted, but not really an NA application on a regular vehicle

You do know that E85 burns faster than regular fuel so you'll end up filling your tank up more often, so really your not saving yourself any money. Seriously, has it come down to this that you would consider puting E85 in your Z? How cheap can somebody be, it's bad enough the people who put regular 87-89 octane in it
