Default Aftermarket clutch with stock Flywheel?

Well it's about time soon to be replacing my clutch and I have been reading alot about aftermarket clutch and flywheel combos chattering no matter what you go with. Well I am not really that concerned about performance increases and not looking to make my Z noisier. Would going with an aftermarket clutch and stock flywheel by perfectly fine?

I was thinking of just going with a JWT clutch.

An aftermarket clutch worth anything should work fine with a stock flywheel. But the better question is why are you replacing the clutch on a 2006 car with next to no mods?

Yes. However crappy my OEM clutch may have been, it lasted less than 40k miles, but I have a 2004.

If yours is an '06, what's you mileage? I have heard of clutch replacement on Z's at even 10k but have to assume that's abuse. It's a pretty weak clutch, IMHO.

Also watch out for dealer scamming on new vs. resurfaced OEM FW, they tried to sell me an $1100 FW I did not need. More profit in 100% markup, I guess.

I have the JWT clutch with 10k miles plus, I like it a lot. I also have their FW but the noise is minimal, just notice at idle w/window open, very small amount of chatter in neutral with clutch out. Otherwise, FW is great - changed the rev characteristics all for the better.

I have 50,000 miles on the car. I have abused my clutch very badly.

I have a JWT clutch on OEM flywheel...love the combo...

very confidence inspiring.......that clutch grabs and holds.... no worries if you are or are not ingaged....very nice!

clutch and coilovers are the best mods ive done to my car...
