Default is JWT clutch same as stock?

I just received my JWT clutch and I see that the disc is made by Exedy, which is what is used the the stock 2006 350Z's. The clutch cover also looks exactly like OEM. Is there even a difference?

The JWT clutch is the same as stock with a modified pressure plate for higher clamping load.

This is why some hold more power than others. Since they are all modified, they don't all hold the same power.

mine was for sure a POS.

30k miles, plenty of material left but would slip fairly regularly.

dunno if the stock clutch hose had a delay valve or the self adjusting pressure plate sucked, but the jwt clutch is 10x better.

For those of you that are saying that the JWT is basically a modified OEM clutch, what would you recommend instead of the JWT? I don't have any plans on FI for my 2007 Nismo, but I do plan to track the car 4-5 weekends a year -- and I am not very happy with the stock clutch.

I never said the JWT was a bad clutch kit, just answering the questions about it being the same as stock.

I would run a JWT clutch kit, or if you don't want the flywheel chatter that the JWT kits have go for the Exedy Stage 1 kit for our cars.
