Nissan say's the Nismo Cams will add 14hp to the rear wheels with no ECU programming. We have found we have to bump the idle 100rpm with the consult unit or the car feels like it wants to stall when stopping. Also if you have the gas available we bump the timing a couple degrees as well. No matter what cams you buy, don't forget to get a whole bunch of gaskets for your installer..... just so happens we have them (and the Nismo cams) if you need them.

eskimo,

You should either call the guys at SGP racing, or start a new thread. Make sure you title the thread "Question for SGP racing regarding the 11.5:1 pistons".

They have a couple guys from their company who are regular posters on this site, and i'm told are very helpful in responding to all questions.

thanks

COnsult is the diagnostic tool that nissan dealers use... they can change the idle rpm and to some extent, timing
