Default Service engine soon light

Where do I plug in the scanner to check for the error code?

I would search for this one. But my bet is that just like Hondas, the "service engine soon" light doesn't indicate any code that's been set off. Rather it's just on either a driving time or mileage timer to remind you to take it in to the dealership for a scheduled service.

Most searches I have done all say the SESL is related to some error code.

BEFORE you ask a question about your Z, look in your owners manual FIRST. The vast majority of the constantly repeated questions can be answered by taking the time and effort to read your owners manual.

You'll save yourself the embarrassment of being called out for asking "noob" questions and the eventual flaming that follows. Plus, you'll be surprised at all the cool features that you'll discover about your new car.

Thanks and enjoy!

I figured someone would respond with that.

I guess I should have stated in my original post that I am in my office and just don't feel like going to get the manual out of my car, and figured someone would be able to quickly point me to the location.

Thanks for all your help by the way, mister "I-will-call-out-anyone-for-anything-on-the-forum police"!!!!!!!!!!

If you figured someone would respond with that, it might have helped trying it.

But just like anyone else, creating a new thread for anything and everything will certainly do the trick.

I mean... I could say where it is but all that does is encourage to create a new thread rather than searching.

So why exactly should you encourage me to search, instead of making a new thread?

Is it so you won't have to read a repeated thread?!?!?! Well, looks like you did that anyway.

Is it so you won't have to waste your time replying to a repeated thread to give the answer?!?!!?! Well, you actually replied to my repeated thread TWICE.

So please, please, do tell me why you would have wanted me to find the answer on my own.

1) Because the answer is already out there

2) Because it may actually be beneficial in the future for both of us.

3) Because it would actually save everyone some time.

Jeez, have you ever found an answer on your own ever?

1) Sure it is, but so is the answer to every question posted on this, and every other, forum. POINT ME

2) Don't see how it would have helped you, or helped me out. PUSH

3) Would save me time by just getting the answer here. It actually WASTED your time. You could have responded originally with the answer, and be done with this post. POINT ME

2-0 eh?!?! I sure hope you are not an attorney. You're critical thinking and logic skills are poor, poor, poor.

That means a lot to me considering its coming from someone who can't find an answer for themselves.

Are you dumb, or can you just not read well?

I can find any answer I want, just too lazy right now.

It rubs the lotion on its skin. It does this whenever it is told.

Are you just fat? Do you have a pet dog so he can run for you in hopes that you will lose weight some day?
