Default oil change 3 quarts left?

i just changed my oil. the oil was changed at the dealership with 22,xxx odometer and now it has 25,3xx. i dumped the old oil into the empty bottle and it measured about 3 quarts. is that normal for it to consume about 2 quarts? i have an 06. does it seem like it has the oil consumption problem?

this is the HR section, not tryin to be a d!ck but some people will throw a fit over something like this. also search a little harder, there are a bunch of threads about the 06 rev-up motor and oil consumption issues. you'll get a new motor if its bad.

My friend just got a new motor in his 06 and he did his second oil change and only 3 quarts came out too.

I dont think theres any revups that dont consume oil.

It would be awesome if they'd just do an HR conversion on that beast. Although that would be a little more than just the block itself. But, one can dream .

There's usually a good bit of oil in the oil filter. Go by dipstick reading over time.

Well I kno the HR motors had a lot of oil consumption problems but havent heard much on the DE's and no not all Anniversary models are rev-ups only the 6spd version was (300 hp 7000rpm redline as opposed to the 5spd automatic 287hp 6700 redline)

Rev-ups ('06) had oil problems, not the HR.
