Knocking sound during acceleration
Like I posted in another thread, this sound is likely the normal "gear lash" noise heard on RevUp engines.
Mine does it, as do a couple 35th Anniversary models I've ridden in.
Lighter flywheels will contribute to more noise, but it's not abnormal, and not something to have much concern over. If it gets worse, I'd probably start inspecting parts, but if it's rocks in a coffee can below 2k rpm's when you hit the throttle in any gear, it's just gear lash.

Yup, mine does it also. It is annoying but harmless from what Ive read. If I remember correctly... otherwise I would have been worried about it I think. I just remember reading a bunch about flywheel noise. Didnt pick up it was actually called gear lash until now.

if you neglect to fix it you will lose oil in a faster pace then normal (if your having oil consumtion issues to begin with)... which in turn can cause some big issues... but i assume you check your oil levels regularly?
a leaky valve cover (gasket) would cause a mess... but that alone doesnt cause drivetrain noise

I havent checked to see if my car has a leaky valve cover issue, although it sounds very common for that to happen after 50k. I have 60... I'm losing about 3/4 qt every 3500-3800miles. I of course keep it topped off.
Maybe it's actual detonation, that a lot of the 91 octane guys have experienced on otherwise stockish cars. If it's a rocks in a box sound, under load, then it's probably knock.
Sometimes, a simple catch can can help eliminate this minor knock. Oil that is injested through the intake (through your PCV valve) will contribute to knock.
