I agree. Horsepower is made in the top end and the bottom end just has to handle it. Heads/cam/FI/etc are all breathing mods and that is what a motor is. An air pump. As long as the bottom end can handle the ensuing explosions in the cylinders then you are gold.

I'm going that same route but, adding grounding kit, plenum & higher compression pistons from SGP. Don't know if I should go with the pistons. How much HP should I expect with the 11.5:1 pistons? Newbie here ...thanks!
I'm also doing the Mossy set-up + Crawford Plenum and Grounding kit (no new pistons for me, tho) ... plus one other "special" mod that I'm not allowed to talk about.

May also look at getting some head work done in the near future to help with breathing.

This is what we should focus on, hp gain over stock. Sometimes we can get side tracked on which dyno etc when what matters is using the same dyno and just measuring hp gain.
I agree... which is why I wrote up the long train of logic above. Unfortunately, there is one inherent flaw... the base dyno and the Richard's dyno were done on different Mustang Dynos... so there is still a margin for error.

Hopefully, by mid-next week, I'll have a dyno number on my set up that can be compared to my stock and Borla TD-only dyno runs.

Speaking of dyno's, I thought we were going to have the Mossy people dyno again based on the chellenge that was made a couple of weeks ago. Does anyone know if it is still on?

I think they are waiting on a Dyno Day to be set up... that is a date to be set.

My car will be dynoed on the same Dynojet that was used before. The shop does tuning for several race teams and many performance cars in the area, so I know it is calibrated regularly. The numbers should be pretty reliable. Again, should have some clear numbers sometime next week.
