How to make the 350z auto trans stronger

At the risk of getting flamed; I have seen valve body upgrades from stillen and Z1 motorsports where you send in part of your engine and they rehaul your tranny. You're supposed to get crisper shifts after all is done.

u can get the valve body upgrade and i believe gtm makes higher stall tq converters and a lot of other things http://www.gtmotorsports.com/home.php?cat=262

Went to do more research and with the help of Z1motorsports and people in the G35 forum:
There is a Trans Go shift kit for auto 350z's that you can purchase and have installed.
It's also supposed to make crisper shifts and claims to be more durable than the OEM counterpart.
All the reviews are positive (from the people who've actually installed them).
From my perspective, I've noticed they've raved about the "feel" of shifting. You definitely feel the pull at higher speeds and shifting down as a decceleration method was made better because of the consequent "rougher" shifting.
It roughness of the shifts can be manipulated depending on the size holes drilled in the kit.
If you opt this way, the kit is running for about $270 and the majority have hit $500 to $600 with installation from a tranmission specialist.

OP, i would say transgo kit plus there is alot of talk about switching the rear diff to a 6mt and then rebuilding the pumpkin with 3.9 final drive ring/pinion.
Doing this, from what ive heard, will make such a drastic improvement you wont believe how much faster your car picks up.
One guy even quoted something like "I got that chill you get when you FI guys first drove your car with the turbo on" or something like that. it sounds like an amazing upgrade, but be prepared to pay something around 2k + for everything including install.

A fully built transmission will be in the range of $3.5 - $5k installed, to include torque converter, valve body, and internal upgrades (clutch packs, bands, etc). A good transmission cooler should be part of the upgrade.
You can either modify your transmission or get another transmission already prebuilt and swap it in (refer to the for sale link posted above, which is a great deal) for less downtime.

you dont need a fully rebuilt trans. I would just do transgo, rebuilt pumpkin, and tranny cooler.

Are you mistaking diff with pumpkin??
