Default Finally building short block. Need opinions.

Hi Guys,

I'm finally building up my short block. I am looking for suggestions and opinions on what i have planned out so far. Im kinda on a budget but i want good stuff as i will be going FI or Nitrous soon after break in.

Non Sleeved VQ35DE Non Rev-up Block
bc rods BRODS pn:BC6229
Wiseco 8.8:1 pistons
Cometic Multi layer steel headgasket
ARP L19 head +main stud kit
Cosworth Tri-Metal Race Bearings (rod+mains)
Revup oil pump

My main concerns are:
-Are the Wiseco's a good choice for a street car or shoud I go CP's or Arias? Is the compression ratio a good choice for 550 - 600rwhp with a APS TT kit, greddy tt kit or spray.
-Whats a good engine management and fuel setup for DD with this car and setup
-Clutch which one and what kind?

Sorry for all the questions guys but I want to do it right and do it once. Thanks

+1 on the forged S1 shortblock. Very good set up, tried and true up to some 800+ whp I believe. I think you can substitute parts if you really want to (and maybe save a few bucks), but I wouldn't.

My vote would be Arias pistons and Eagle rods.

jwt clutch might not be strong enough to hold 550-600hp like u r goin with...i would suggest a twin disc or an extreme single like clutchmasters stage 4(i have) to hold all that powa
arias pistons 9:1 comp ftw

a little noisy but u will def have that with a lightweight flywheel and aftermarket clutch...30% harder pedal pressure then stock imo

I'd run a 9:1 compression with a dual stage 250 shot.

I would use Arias ED's, Eagle Rods, L19 head studs for most builds. If you want to build it yourself, we can supply you every single part needed to put the block together. Just let us know.
