Default 373.0 rwhp see dyno

Finally got around to getting that free dyno tune from Grubbs. I took the procharged Z to Lone Star Performance in Garland Texas. They found and fixed an air leak problem and then adjusted the sliders for the max rwhp they could get without the car detonating

thanks and with the BFG G-Force T/A Drag Radials, tractions in no longer a problem. I think 12s should be easy.

Oh yea forgot ... the car is completely stock otherwise. No moded headers, exhaust, intake, flywheel, or ecu.

If fact the people at Lone Star said it would be a waste of $$ to do much of that for the few added hp it would bring.

They said it would be better if I lost weight and learned how to drive

Those a super numbers with a good AFR setup. Those guys did a great job tuning the car by the looks of things.

Why does the AFR start so high down low though? Is that just the dyno setup?

more like something to do with the fuel management system. They said it has a tendence to throw fuel in no matter what they do to the sliders. They played with the car for over an hour trying different settings. I agree these guys know what they are doing. They have been with ATI for a number of years so the Z system is old hat to them

so far just the ATI Procharger on a stock Track. I did get a set of BFG G-Force Drag Radials for the rear to get the traction the car now needs

The people at Lone Star Performance told me that on a G35 they did .... that headers and exhaust only added 2 hp to the mix, so recommended I hold off on any other mods until they found true bang for the buck

I asked about going to a colder plug and they said NOT .... they tuned it to the stock plugs and have found them to be good plugs.

I asked about installing a wide band O2 sensor and they said only if I was going to do my own tuning at a dyno that didn't have that capablility. Since they will be doing all my tuning from now on, I decided to not waste the money. I know that many say it is good to monitor the AFR but it only tells you that it's too late. If you hear detonation stop pushing it and get it retuned was their respond.

They are right down the street from Joteck and said he is working on a better FMS so I might want to take advantage of that later.
