Clutch problem?
Im guessing my clutch is gone altho ive never had it go out this way in a car before. The pedal is not sticking. I have no problem getting into any gear. However the car wont move and the tires wont spin. Flywheel seems fine as the car revs through the entire rpm range with no problem. It happened gradually throughout the day where even tho in gear the car just wouldnt accelerate until it hit 4-5k then it would get up and go but slowly. Now it wont move at all.
Anyone had a clutch go out this way? Typically for me the pedal starts to stick or i cant get it in gear. this one is new to me...

you don't smell the clutch at all?
mash the gas, car revs but doesn't move, then slowly climbs and finally picks up at 4k+....also seems fine when shifting at high rpm's. Exactly how mine went out....replaced it with the jwt combo a few weeks ago.
clutch is gone !
clutch and flywheel needed..........if it went out like that odds are the flywheel pressure plate surface is grooved and flywheel will be needed.....
unless you can afford down time and confirm the oem fly is fine, then at that point all you need is just the clutch and no fly...........

kinda figured it was the clutch, just never had a clutch go out on me like this. REALLY hoping i wont need the flywheel too. prob just replace with exedy oem spec ($240) to reduce costs as this is my dd and performance parts arent needed atm.
tsk tsk tsk, taking away saved money for my new bike...

Usually the friction lining on the disc wears off, but the heat caused by excessive slippage can damage the flywheel and pressure plate. Sometimes the friction lining wears unevenly or comes off entirely, and the metal-to-metal contact wrecks the other parts.
