Default my new 350z

i just picked up my 05 350z and am very happy . Although i think (did) pay more than what it's worth but..oh well.
now that i'm home (away from the dealer 30 miles), i thinking i'm spotting some problem.
Whenever i turn off the engine, i hear some kind of grinding + deep chatter sound from the right side of the engine. Possibly the intake..idk.
Whatt might the problem be??

ANOTHER PROBLEM.
i think the clutch pedal spring is worn down or something because i can press in the clutch pedal with my 2 fingers untill i reach the point where the clutch actually disengages. Am i right?
If so, what parts do i need to fix this problem and where can i get the parts?

thx guys.

Our factory flywheel makes noise, which is noticeable at idle and when you turn your car off. This may be what you are hearing. As far as the clutch pedal, you may just need to add fluid and bleed the system. check for any leaks as well. can you press the clutch with your two fingers all the way to the floor? Our cars are known for some loose play at the top of the pedal, and high release points.

When you shut off the engine, push the clutch pedal in. I'll wager that the noise goes away.
ALWAYS push a clutch in when shutting off the engine. Doesn't matter if it's a Z or not.

-NOPE i cannot push in the clutch pedal with 2 fingers all the way to the floor, i'm able to push in just about 1~2 inch.

-I never knew that you have to press in the clutch when turning off the engine..i'll try that tomorrow.

-I"ll post up pics this weekend

-I didn't notice any leakage in the slave cylinder area.

-The sound is from the driver's side.

-My guess to this problem is that the dealer did not put premium gas when he filled up the gas tank for me. If he didn't, then the poor gas might b doing something to the engine lol

ok so i tried prssing in the clutch when turning off the engine. NO MORE SOUND ahah thx TreeFiddy.
Now i found another problem. I don't know if its normal for 350z or not though.
When i start moving in 1st gear and go up to 2k RPM, let go of the gas pedal, the high RPM slows down the car with jerky motion, right? When it does, i hear flwheel(?) or clutch(?) or something in the tranny grinding. I feel like its grinding in circular motion. This happens also in 2nd gear. Could this be a worn down clutch or flywheel?
EDIt: "The sound can be described as partial grinding and partial dragging. Like when the dremel is cutting away something not the whine of the dremel but the cutting away noise" this is really good description of my car's problem. I quoted from some guy's thread. lol

I just cannot believe how many people complain about the transmissions and clutches in the Z. I had a '78 and an '85 with manual transmissions. Both were daily drivers, and my wife drove one almost exclusively. We logged over 70k miles each with very few problems, none related to the clutch/transmission. None of the Z owners we knew had issues with them either.

It sounds like Nissan has forgotten everything they obviously once knew about building MT cars.

Maybe that's because they put all their effort into the absolutely superb ATs they're building nowadays.

its not required to hold the clutch in to turn the car off, but if that noise bothers you, then you can do it. It's normal regardless.
