Well I have the car 100% together and I tried starting it at 2 in the morning without luck. Luckily, I know exactly what the problem is and I am going to make quick work of it this morning. Essentially, my standalone is looking for a 5V square wave for a crank signal and the GM sensor is a 12V. I tried the sensor with 5V but it isn't enough juice to create the necessary magnetic field the sensor requires to operate correctly. So now I am going to switch the sensor to 12V power and use a resistor on the signal line to make the standalone happy.

I can tell you this.... the motor is high compression to say the least. My starter struggles and I may need to buy a better starter now. Hoping for videos later today of startup at least.

Lol. I'm working on it. I found out I need the crank sensor from the 2006 or newer motors and mine wouldn't work. I called every auto parts store with in a 3hr drive for the sensor with no luck.

So I just finished making an adapter bracket to use the standard Electromotive magnetic sensor. About to install it and try again.

Drove the car a bunch today and it is simply insane! Lights the tires up in all three gears at only half throttle! Once the motor is broken in I'm gonna put some Mickey Thompson DR's on and let it hook!
