Default 2006 Z...Burning up oil

Hello fellow Z-heads...

I have an 06 Z and i have been burning up a lot of oil lately...

every 800 miles it seems like i need to add a quart to the engine...

any explination on why this can be?

is there any way i could fix it?

any feedback would be very appreciated...

Thank you...

There is a 528,399 page thread on here somewhere regarding this issue.

Basically, take your car to the dealership and have them mark your dipstick.
Drive around for 1.5k miles
Come back, prove that oil is burning.
Receive the v2 engine and 10k in warranty work.

I had my block replaced at 36k miles.

There are several reasons why a motor may be burning oil. A 2006 should be under warranty. Nissan may give you a new motor.

Go to the dealer, and read this https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-...iscussion.html
Is it M/T?

I started using castrol conventional oil instead of synthetic in my 06' and it hasn't burned a drop. It was using a decent amount every thousand miles using castrol syntec.
