Default 350z Rear Differential Oil?

Hows it going guys? Ive looked around the site and all over the web and Im not quite understanding the correct rear differential oil to use. I want whatever is best for the differential. What I have come up with has been.

Red Line MT-90 75w90 GL-4
Red Line 75w90 GL-5
Amsoil 75-90 synthetic GL-4
Or should I just stick to oem factory fluid
I have a 05 enthusiast with obviously factory Lsd, and I live in sunny warm south florida. What do you guys suggest, remember its differential oil not transmission so lets keep the discussion on differential oils, thanks....

I have RL in my diff. It's been a long time since I researched the issue, but I believe it's the MT90 GL4 version that's in my diff.

Yea the mt90 is the one Im leaning more towards, but some people supposedly get good results with the rd gl5, and other people swear by the amsoil. It would be cool if we can make a poll? rl mt90, rl gl5, amsoil, or oem.

You should be able to edit your thread and make it a poll. Try it. If not, maybe the Section Mod can help you out.

Amsoil 75w90 GL5 for the diff, GL4 should only be used in the tranny.

Motul, only thing I have found to keep my Nismo Diff quiet and last, I use amsoil in everything else, but it just was terrible in the diff

Lol thanks for adding the poll, I checked on the web and on this site and narrowed it down to those, if anyone can point me in the right direction. Or give me the link for where all 75,000 voted for. I would greatly appreciate it. Like I said I checked and its more transmission oil debates then actual differential. I apologize for being a noob.... That was funny, though.

You owned that thread Vo. Nice little write up towards the middle. Ive decided to go with the redline products. Im going to go ahead and do the transmission while Im at it. Im going with this combo.

Differential -
2 qts. 75w90 Synthetic Gear Oil (GL-5)

Transmission -
2 qts. MTL 70w80 (GL-4) synthetic
2 qts. MT-90 75w90 (GL-4) synthetic

Thanks a lot dude.

Time to replace my MT and rear diffy fluids. Glad I was able to find this thread after all these years. My Z is officially 18 years old and has 49K miles on it...

You cant go wrong with that mixture of Redline for the transmission and their differential fluid. I've been running them for years and everything is quiet and smooth. Might try their newer MT-85 75W85 GL-4 Gear Oil for the next transmission change, though.
