Default Anyone wanna share thoughts on the Kaaz Super Q?

Hi guys,

I'm planning to build a rear end for my 350z. I been shopping around and think that Os Giken is too expensive since I have to get the studs for my oem VLSD swap. So I'm looking into the kaaz option.

But just recently it has came out with a Super Q option which I have no clue if its worth it.

Tried to research it, but no one had a solid review up yet so I wonder if any of you tech guys can offer your input.

Is Super Q worth the extra $150-$200?

Thanks!

If you main purpose is to track the car...probably not worth it...

If you will be doing some daily driving and don't want people to think you car is falling apart...totally worth it!

I was told (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) that only difference between the standard Kazz and the Super Q is that they WPC the clutch plates...

I recently got myself a Nismo LSD, one of the most obnoxious popcorn maker LSD's out there...I had the clutch plates WPC'd, and the lsd runs much quieter and smoother, no more popcorn

Interesting...

I only track my car now.. i dont' care about pop noise, but I do care about prolong usage. It said the SUPER Q is more durable and last longer in life... is that true?

Also, it mentioned that SUPER Q does not need to be broken in... ?

Finally, all Kaaz come with 1 year or life time warranty against defects?
Thanks!

There's MotoIQ Article out there that talks about the advantages of WPC'ing clutch type lsd for the 350z:

there is no break in with the Super Q, correct

disk life is said to be improved, though I in all the years of selling clutch type diffs, we've only ever sold a handful of rebuild kits -this is going back about 8-9 years, and holds true across all brands of diff's we offer

If you have an OEM open diff its only some slight machine work to make the stubs fit, if you have a VLSD you only need to buy one stub. OS Giken is worth the money.

BTW do you want a 1.5 or 2 way diff?

I want the 1.5 way and Kaaz does offer that. Well if most people never had to repair their clutch type, i really don't mind the noise. I think I'll take the normal version.

Thanks guys!
