For watching truck drivers, fleets, valets, or for having proof of speed/braking/acceleration for accidents, this product is perfect. In fact, DavisNet even offers a fleet version of their software.

Also, keep in mind that this will work on most OBDII compliant vehicles. There are only a handful of unsupported cars. See www.davisnet.com for more info.

Can you sample more than every 5 seconds? That info (every 5 seconds) wont help me any. The autotap does sample like twice per second but the interface and software is slow . . . I have a feeling this is the limit of these devices.

I like it though. Much handier than autotap, in many ways.

The lower limit is 5 seconds. For speed, it is fixed at 5 seconds. For the other variables, you can increase it in 5 second steps (5, 10, 15, etc). Yup, I wish it recorded with a 60 Hz resolution (60 per second). Oh well. Still worth the money.

Yeah stuff like timing and intake charge really need to be sampled real time.

Let me know what you see on the intake stuff. I am doing it for airbox vs JWT. I have the airbox figures just have not had time to do the JWT runs.

Wow, thanks for taking the time! Maybe they can increase the resolution if you talk to them...

Great to hear. PM me the stock airbox numbers. I am going to do Injen CAI vs. Injen short ram. I really want to get a solid idea of what is best based on air charge.

yah, only reason I bought the autotap was because of the low resolution of the carchip (5 sec). almost everything else I like the carchip better.
