I have an 05 base with only 14k miles. I set the shift light to come on @ 6100. IT comes on at 5700. What gives? I bumped it up to 6500 but what is the issue. If there was lag, if anything it would come on late. Or is the gauge lagging and my light true?? Thoughts? Thanks.....

Oh, BTW, I bought the 19X9.5 19X11 Avante Garde M310's & my car went from this twitchy squirly car to a stable beast that never needs any freeway correction. Just thought I would share this wonderful upgrade. Also the offset is +20. +18 rear. Just sticking out flush. A totally different animal!

 

It "stages" a few hundred RPM prior by blinking and illuminates full red when it reaches your desired setting.

 

Then set it to 6500 RPM. See how easy that was.

Tyler or "Advan" answered my question perfectly. Thank you. It does blink & I never paid attention to blinking & then a steady light. If anyone did at these rpm's while driving we'd all crash. I just see it out of my periphery. Thanks Tyler for answering my question without being a smart ***. Respect. I threw the wheels in there cuz many people want wheels & have no where to start. These M310's were specifically designed for the Z with offset correction & hubcentricity.

Because he could have found the answer by reading the manual. Then mentions rims and offsets which have no relation to the thread or forum section...random.
