Hey guys I am having some trouble with my z and I need help before I take it to nissan. I have an 03 and I am throwing a lean code and it is saying I have a misfire in bank one. It said that the MAF, O2 ,injectors ,PCV , or vacuum leak could be the cause. I can hear the car running like ****, and sometimes it idles right and other times when you give it and let the RPMs drop they hit like 4-500 and pop back up. I have replaced all my o2, my maf and my pcv I have also added injector cleaner in the gas. I took it to get smoked and they did it 4 x and didnt find anything.

Please does anyone have any idea what this may be. it only does it when it is warm if its cold it holds the idle fine

 

Why are you putting this in the HR section with an 03...close it out and repost in the Engine thread..im sure you someone there can assist you with it..good luck and hope you get it sorted out

That is the only thing that pisses me off on these forums.

I don't mind questions but when it's multi posted, that bothers the **** out of me

 

If it's not a leak, maybe the MAF? Without a diagnostic tool, it's hard to figure out. Try swapping O2 sensors across banks and see if the code changes.

I put my data logger on it. the throttle response from me reving it to my logger seeing the tps sensor, was a bit behind...i'm thinking the tps may be it.... the maf is reading good cfm. I cant see anything else acting weird or sluggish except for that.......
