Modified did a test on 3 the tomei, s1, and nismo cams and they were like 1 hp and 1 foot pound of torquedifferent, for the price I would personally go with the tomei 264 they require no spring or shim since the Lift is less than 11mm, the tomei are 10.8 so your still good for stock valve train but if you want to go with a built head setup ams has a stage 2 head with a good amount of work for 2195 and they give you the option of s1 or s2 cams and they are already shimmed and the springs are upgraded so it all really depends on how much you want to spend

Thinking of getting jwt cam seems to have a better torque response in the low rpms than the other 2. Gtm is charging about a grand for 10-12 hrs labor on the cam install.I can shop around for someone else to install the cam i guess.this is going into the synth19's old 03 silver 350z I'm the 3rd owner. Got it 2 months ago.

I am running the Kelford 272's, made 602rwhp on 17psi/93 pumpgas. I am upgrading to a custom set of Kelfords for the new heads I am doing. I have used Kelford on quite of few builds I have done and they have performed very well. If interested in the 272's let me know, as they are coming out in a few weeks, less than 2k miles on them.

Total d,pm me a price on those cams.your right jerryd87 that's what I thought from the get go. I called around and gtm has the best price so far and besides that I wanted them to tune it to, 2 birds one stone. I'm actually a 6 year fleet mechanic and didn't want to do it cause I've never messed with overhead cams. But now I'm thinking of buying the shop manual cd and see if I can do it.so far with the stuff I've found online and on my350z it's not looking so difficult. Still up in the air.thanks all for ur opinions.
