Clutch Replacement for Stage 3 Supercharged
New member here. I have a Stillen Stage 3 on my 2003 (375 WHP) with 60K on a Stillen clutch. Supercharger and clutch have been on the car since 4K miles. I drive very hard, just learned to make clutches last with experience. Throw out bearing finally starting to whine on me and it's time to replace the clutch. It's my daily driver (weekend is a DeTomaso Pantera), so I like the soft clutch feel, but it could be a tad stiffer. I've driven race clutches and do not want one with relatively no travel in this car but would like a worry-free unit that hooks up. I really have come to trust Stillen. Anybody have a Stillen clutch/flywheel combo ($1000) installed and know how it compares to others?. Any other preferences or areas to point me to with such discussions? Do I need to update the clutch MC and Slave if I get a stiffer unit?
I thought my 240Z I had when I was 20 was the best car, until I bought and hopped up the 350. Brings a smile to my face every drive.
Thanks in advance,
Rob

If you got 60k miles out of the stillen and you like it why would you want to change to a different clutch?
Also, you won't need the full clutch. You already have the flywheel and pressure plate so you will only need the friction plate (under 200$) and if need be the pressure plate and flywheel machined to true it up (less than 100$ from a machinist).
So a 375hp z really makes you smile over a Pantera? My friend has a 74 pantera with 515 hp. I would take it hands down over my 652hp g35 any day of the week.

Actually, both make me smile, but the Z is better on the street. Open roads are another discussion. I brought the Pantera to the Tail of the Dragon last summer and she performed flawlessly. I wish I had the Z there to compare. Z has the Grand Turismo big brake kit added and it just brakes and handles better than a 42 year old muscle car despite the mid engine balance.

The dyno was done in Florida after the conversion which included the Stillen exhaust, intercooler, mod chip (among other suspension and body parts). That was > 57K miles ago. I know it does not break loose as easy now, either due to clutch slippage, adding the rear camber kit, tuning, or, just age but it's still a joy to drive. My favorite past time is embarrassing M3s.

JWT make a great clutch kit that can support your mods.
BUT you already have a flywheels and pressure plate. Why not resurface the flywheel, clean up the pressure plate if the splines are good and just buy a new sprung clutch disk? You could spend $300 instead of $800.

375whp is easily attainable, from a stillen roots charger? the question is, can the roots make 8psi...ummm…maybe…
big picture, who cares…375whp isnt something to brag about…nor is considered 'high' when you really look at what people are doing with the VQ motor.
when the OP breaks 600whp please come talk to me...
you can put any clutch flywheel setup in there - any of them, including an OEM will hold 400whp all day…
I personally like the JWT, I like their products, I think their prices are fair and I like their customer service...
