PhoenixINX... actually, though you say you don't agree, your statements says that you do. Your statement basically matches what zxsaint is proposing. Based on the initial information I received, the Crawford headers would funtion as the Nismo headers do in zxsaint's example.... only they would be a little more potent. Still trying to get enough of a sample of Crawford headers users to verify this.
I'm saying the Borlas headers, mated to Borla TB aren't a great combo. Good exhaust, poor headers...

Zx is trying to say, one of these items HAS to be restrictive. This isn't true at all. The exhaust pulse of the entire system has to be "in tune" with each other to give best results would be the best way to explain it.

Making one end restrictive and one not, is NOT creating a proper pulse.

Honestly I don't think ANYONE has figured it out yet.

I do know however, Doug's headers felt INCREDIBLE with the Borla TD... and as equally as awesome on Adams with the stock exhaust. The key here is to determine WHICH exhaust mates best.

To maximize torque, you need backpressure to ensure proper velocity.

Exactly.

Yes, but these products all have different flow rates/volumes. But until a manufacturer comes out with a completely tuned engine-back exhaust design, we have to compensate with trying to find the right combination for maximum gains.

Quoting you here from another thread:

Honestly... I drove his Z NUMEROUS times with the Borla.

To me the Borla made NOTHING on the *** dyno. Sounds nice, that's about it.

Tons of owners have reported MINIMAL gains just strapping it on. Though lets be honest, the Borla may have a SMALL amount more gain when mated with high-flow cats and these headers.

Point made... is by themselves it wasn't a concern for us to take the exhaust off.

Tail of the dragon...

You'll get five samples!
Hmmm... somehow I think Doug will sell a few more by ZDayZ. I can imagine it now... the mountains filled with the sound of free flowing exhaust... It's freakin' beautiful man!
