Default oil sipn vq, possible ls swap?

I have an 03 Z and I've been contemplating what I should do with the old gal. She has 136K on her and is sippin oil like its going out of style. I was thinking either rebuild, ls swap, or just sell her and buy another vehicle, but I'm not a fan of car payments. I am on a limited budget and would like some insight from some of you out there that have either done the swap and can share costs as well as anyone in Houston that could either do a ls swap or VQ build. I've seen import parts pro for a basic block build run about 2500. I have about 3k to work with.

I'd say rebuild. The ls swap is out of your price range.

^What he said.

There is a whole slew of threads pertaining to LS swaps, where all of your questions regarding the swap will be answered. To save yourself some headaches and cash, I would go with a VQ rebuild. I'd also advise you to save a bit more cash. Little things always come up, and add up quicker than you think.

Cass007's LS swap thread. Read, and realize what you are up against.

Niice. I'm looking on ebay. Haven't really found much. You lucked out with the long block for 1600.
