Default SS clutch line troubleshooting

Hello all. I am trying to install a SS clutch line in my '05 350z.

As many people, I am having trouble removing the hardline nut.

I believe I can get the nut off but I fear by the time I do it will be mangled and unusable for re-install.

My plan is to cut off the mangled piece and replace it.

Therefore I need help figuring out the size, type or a link to the correct: clutch hardline nut, flare nut or pipe fitting.

Should look something like this, i think:

I intend on using a flaring kit like this one to install the new fitting.

Any insight would be helpful thank you!

I used a pair of small locking pliers to loosen mine, and then still had enough wall on the outside of the nut to tighten with the proper flare wrench. Might as well try it before you cut it off.

Bro, soak it in penetrating oil and use a flare nut wrench. I thought I was screwed too; until I just kept it routinely soaking it for a few days, and just went at it with a flare nut wrench. Otherwise, as mentioned, we used a vice grip on a buddies, and was still able to get it back on a new SS line.

I have a flexible flare nut wrench but it just spins on the nut (even though it doesn't look very rounded to me).

It is a 10mm correct?

from my thread here:

if you can't get it, just buy another hardline, nab one from the junk yard...?? if not try flaring, but ensure you have a good flare and seal when its all done.

Vice grips on the mangled nut, then use vice grip to reinstall

Thats the weird thing, I used that exact wrench from the start. The nut isnt even all the way rounded, yet the wrench spins on it. (yes i am using the 10mm side)

Thanks for the advice.
