05 350Z N/A Rebuild
I just want to start off that I absolutely love my Z. Unfortunately Ive grown tired of just cruising around with no significant power. My Z is pretty much bone stock, I want to get 320rwhp while still being N/A. I understand this might be an expense but im sure its cheaper than FI. If anyone could help me out on a list of parts that I might be able to accomplish my goals and provide pricing I would greatly appreciate it, Thank You.
N/A is in no way cheaper than FI, in fact it'll be a money pit well before you reach your power goals. In general from what I've seen with an exhaust, intake, test pipes and a tune (on a Dynojet):
HR - 295-305
DE - 265-275
If it's power you seek, it's FI you shall invest in.

Oh... well that changes everything haha I just figured N/a was cheaper due to the fact that these turbo kits that ive found (which there might be others) but they are running like 9 Grand. Also I understand that the VQ is a high compression motor so I just assumed N/A was the way to go. Im honestly just looking for a way to have my goal and not destroy the bank.

Best way to reach that power number is to keep an eye out for a used vortech or pro-charger kit in the marketplace. I've pretty much done every bolt on you can do and sitting right at 275rwhp/265rwtq on my 03 DE. To reach the number you want you're talking about a built block, heads with port work, cams, some type of custom intake manifold (i.e. ITB's would be best), with ITBs you'd also need standalone engine management, and plenty of supporting mods to keep it nice and cool.
I've got some buddies going down that route and it's been full of letdowns attempting to reach just 300rwhp. However, don't discount the effects of some nice boltons and re-tune. My car feels much stronger than when it was stock. I'd stay just start with some simple things: test pipes, exhaust, intake...then once you're done get a good dyno tune.

Start off with your power goals.
300-375 I'd say stillen
400-550ish vortech
Anything past 500 really a turbo / twin turbo
But you could always just get a single turbo for 300-600
So you got choices. I'm sure someone will chime in otherwise or point you in a different direction.
But decide on your goals, take your time, and do it right.

Edit: I noticed they didn't build the block until later...still, I'd find it surprising to hit that number with just the mods listed above. Who knows? Best of luck OP
