Default im getting a CEL and car turns on with difficulty,

so i went to a mechanic and he said the CEL was do to camshaft sensors, but he said i had to change the 3 of them. and it would be 120 for him to do it plus parts.

ive been doing some reading here and some members just replaced one or so, i was wondering is the mechanic trying to get a bit more off me?

there are only 2. go to autozone or whatever you have out there, buy them and put them on yourself. they are on the backside top of the motor, all you need is a 10mm socket

what year is the car and mileage? does it crank and not start, and then eventually start... randomly stall on you?

i would do both, but that is me.... i dont like doing things twice, they will prob fix your issue.... but if you are saving the $120 the mechanic was going to charge you, why not?
