I have an odd feeling that he is looking at the power steering cooler

Ah...you could be right. But if you are, and he removed the PS cooler, wouldn't your first clue be that hydraulic fluid leaking from the line meant it couldn't be from the engine?

Default OEM oil cooler

it is a 300zx, it has an OEM oil cooler and it is not that big. i was told that the 300's tend to have problems with the transmissions because the cooler is not big enough. So i am going to install and use the larger for the engine oil and designate the smaller OEM for the transmission, a simple install and not a must but It should extend the life of the transmission. And yes, it is an automatic transmission. the 300 is my daily driver and do like having the auto trans.

Default Low oil pressure on guage at idle

Hey guys so I just changed my oil pressure sensor and the guage is now reading. But its reading low on idle. I took it for a drive and it goes to about 4 on my guage when I pulled in my drive way my oil light came on. So I checked the oil on the dip stick and the oil is like way up the dip stick. (the car is off). I checked it a couple times and it was just at about the same every time. It's a 03 350z touring. Just picked it up. I'm new to the Zs

^let the car sit for a few hours, then check the oil level. First thing is to verify that you have the correct volume of oil in your system.

Do you have an oil cooler? Is that why you asked that in this thread? If not do a search there are a lot of discussions on low oil pressure at idle...
