Default Help with Transmission Parts/Info

Hi guys,
I am pulling my hair out while searching for a clutch kit, many are vague, and some use all the different lingo for different parts, and I'd like some confirmation from a more experienced person if someone doesn't mind.

I'm getting ready to drop the transmission to replace the Master Cylinder, and I want to replace everything while its on the ground.

Car: 2007 350Z VQ35HR Manual 6spd

Here are the parts I want/Need

Master Cylinder
Slave Cylinder
ThrowOut Bearing (Release Bearing)
Pilot Bearing
Clutch Disc
Pressure Plate
Flywheel

Here is a http://www.ebay.com/itm/Infiniti-G35-30610-CD015-Manual-Clutch-Master-Cylinder-Assy-03-04-05-06-07-/351391786150?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
And this Kit Here, seems to have most of what I need, but the lingo is confusing the **** out of me.

I'm an amateur mechanic at best, electronics, brakes, rotors, suspension, no problem, out side of that, and I get lost in the lingo.

Can anyone confirm for me that these two items have the parts I need?

Am I missing anything from the list?
Perhaps something else to replace while the Trans is out?

thanks for any help at all!

Don't you dare even think about doing all the work to get your HR apart and use sh!tty parts like that, nor the Nissan OEM hydraulics. This is the all-inclusive kit you need:

http://www.zspeedperformance.com/Sou...ily-2-Pack.htm

This upgraded kit is actually a much better deal:

http://www.zspeedperformance.com/Sou...OMP-HR350Z.htm

And if you really want the cherry on the sundae, add this, which will change the whole feel of your car:

I don't want the XTD clutch kit, I'm trying to find the wording to match with other kits that has all the parts I need. XTD makes crap.

But those South Bend kits are way out of the price range I'm willing to pay. This is not a track car, nor will it ever be, just looking to avoid OEM parts with some modest, affordable upgrades in the process.

This is more what I'm willing to pay.

This or This

The first clutch kit you linked is fine, but the second is for DE cars.

Anything you buy from ZSpeed will be of good quality, but don't waste your time putting in the OEM slave cylinder. It's the weakest part on the whole car, and Few HR owners haven't had an issue with this part. The ZSpeed slave is a must-have in any clutch install on an HR car, so scrape together some $ or you'll regret it later. It's $310 added to the first clutch kit you linked, so the whole package is $856.

Z1 Motorsports makes an external slave cylinder kit, in a different effort to avoid problems with the original slave, but the ZSpeed seems like the better solution all-around. As mentioned the OEM slave is just a failure in design (it's plastic) on the HR cars and you will have a problem if you use one.

Thank you dcains.
I did not know this, and I am glad to know it.
I am having issues with the clutch now, unfortunately, I will keep adding fluid as needed and baby it until I can save up the extra cash. Like you said, transmission repairs are one of the things I truly believe are of the "You get what you pay for" cliche.

Hopefully, you won't get stuck somewhere. Nissan had a recall on the slaves, but the replacement part was exactly the same, so they always fail. Also, be sure to use a high-quality high-temp fluid in the system, because the fluid being exposed to high heat is part of the problem. I don't know how long you've had your Z, but once you get that fixed, they're really solid cars.

Only for 4,000 miles.
As soon as I purchased it, I replaced the oil with Royal Purple, and replaced the trans fluid with Redline full syth.
I will probably go with Royal Purple in the trans too when the time comes, or Redline again.

+1, although I do like the Redline MT85 in the gearbox.

You can also use the larger Mobil 1 #M1-110 filter in place of the smaller one which is listed.
