Default Clutch/Slave Cylinder Question

Does anyone know how far the slave cylinder is supposed to move on a 04 G35/350Z.

I just installed a new Wilwood master cylinder to see if I could finally get my clutch to disengage but that didn't happen. I bleed it with a clear vacuum tube on the bleeder valve to see when I stopped getting air bubbles. I'm no longer getting air bubbles and I have a good feeling clutch pedal but my clutch will not disengage.

Could some one measure how far there slave cylinder moves there fork on the out side of the transmission for me?? Please and Thank You.

Vaccum pump won't get it,collapse the slave cylinder with a c clamp(easier to do with it unbolted from the trans. Have someone help pump the pedal, just like doing brakes. Once the pedal is hard, bolt back onto trans. A few more pumps and should be golden.

I tried that and the slave came flying out the c clamp. Do you open the bleeder on the slave?

I didnt use a vaccum pump, i just used the tubing to see the fluid comming out of the bleeder.

Should move about 5/8" normally, Depends alot on pedal height and adjustment also how far it will move.

If it has good movement and the pedal feels good most likely you have a clutch issue

Thanks, I'm pulling the transmission Friday to look at the fork and to make sure the pressure plate is torqued down correctly.

How high up is the clutch pedal when you try to disengage?

I have it set to pedal full up is all the way out on the master cylinder so I could get the most fluid movement.

Ok so my slave moves 1/2" I even put a 1/4" spacer between my slave cylinder piston and the clutch fork with still no disengagement.

Take the spacer out, this will do nothing to help with release, It will actually kill your clutch later when it needs to move back for clutch wear and can't

What happened originally when the clutch started to not work correctly? Just all of a sudden quite releasing or you put a new clutch in then this issue started?

It all started when i pulled the motor out the final time. It just stopped disengaging, im pulling the clutch all the way out friday to see if welded together on the first start even though i didn't smell anything.

Also the spacer is just for trouble shooting it will be removed froday.
