Default My New Crawford v5 Installed

Well, I installed my new v5 last nite on my Diamond Graphite (Silverstone) "G". It looks so much better than the older models, I cut the cover to fit so it would be exposed. No difference in performance from the older Crawfords, but I think this one looks great. What do you think?

When I say no difference in performance, that's a good thing. The car still runs like stink. Thank's Doug for a great product.

DAMN!

First glance I was going to ask if the OEM cover wasn't larger... (maybe a combo of JUST waking up!)

Certainly a sharp piece... Nice job!!!!!!

Very Nice. I still like the older version for its raw power look; especially on the Z. On the G, I would agree that this version fits the image better.

Nice job cutting up that cover! Maybe replace it with a chopped carbon fiber one, probably look more crazy!

Do you notice any difference in sound between the older version of your Crawford plenum and the new version?

Frisco

I didn't notice any difference in sound, but I never heard that infamous "diesel" sound before. Both sound great to me. And to me, both sound the same.

Very nice, I really like it. I have never noticed the infamous sound or ticking either, mine is version IV though (for now!)

Best looking G Bay I have seen.

Looks good Lowrider, too bad we can't get the full cover to fit. Thanks for the pics. Can't believe I am saying that can you?

Blug

Is that you? Be still my heart!

Actually, I think it looks better without the full cover over it. This plenum deserves to be out in the open for all to see, not covered up.

The cover fits on my v4; why won't it fit the v5?

The cover fits "over" your" v4, and will fit over the v5 as well. I just thought this plenum looked so much better than the older model, it deserved to be displayed for all to see. Also, the cover being over my older unit, produced more heat which caused the powder coat to blister. Heat is not a good thing for air/fuel mixing in the intake.

That seems odd. I can't really see the cover contributing to that much heat insulation (it's only thin plastic), especially to the point of blistering powder coat. I've had my cover on all along and have had no problems at all.

Looks great man. What did you use to cut the cover so cleanly with?

A friend and I did it with a Dremel Tool. We made a template first with cardboard, marked the cover, and worked from that.
