Default Valve Clearences

Hello community, I checked valve clearences on MY06 350z RevUp, intake valves are 0.28-0.30mm all of them, exhaust valves are between 0.40-0.45mm, car has problems like slow acceleration, high fuel consumption, is this because of out of spec exhaust valve clearences? cause I checked everything and didnt found any abnormal situation, Thanks in advance

The High End Clearance Ex Lash is .416mm. (.016") this is on a brand new motor.

The difference is so very very tiny. less than .0015" thousandths of an Inch

NO.......This Will Not cause or change high fuel consumption. and I doubt you could feel a change in power because of this. You would hear excessive Noise before a loss in power.

Stock Motor?
How many miles on Motor?
How about maintenence?

100k miles, stock motor, new timing chain & tensioners installed. So I feel that car is choking, 100-100kmh is about 15.5-16 sec, before it was between high 13s to 14, I dont know what else to blame, I really need to know if it’s valve clearences will take care of it, thank you

No, the Value Clearance you have is fine with a motor of 100k, this is NOT the problem.

It could be so many things......

Have you done,
New Spark Plugs?

Before & After New timing chain & tensioners, was there any difference?

Does the Motor Run Smooth?

yeah it was running smooth after changing timing components. this started happening two weeks ago, fsm mentioning 0.29-0.37 for exhaust valve clearence, it’s 0.40-0.42-0.45 and it’s not affecting power band? btw spark plugs is the good mention, I didn’t changed yet, therefore I have them in the garage and will install this weekend

P.S car is uprev flashed, I am self tuning. however I see lot of knocks, did also leakdown test and in all cylinders is only 5-8% loss, changed MAF sensor, absolutely no codes. when logging IVT,EVTs are good too. its even knocking when I hit gas pedal on stationary position, when its cold I hear slight ticking noise, when coolant goes to 70-80 there is no ticking noise, I hope its helpful information

If your getting "Knock" (You have 93 Octane?) either bad gas, tune is off or could be carbon build up in the combustion chamber & top of piston.

"Knock" will Retard Ignition Timing, & you will feel loss of Power.

Hope this helps.....

FYI I run 98 RON and sometimes 100 RON, ignition timing is stock, fueling is fine 12-5-12.8 WOT, dunno what else to look
