Default Rattle noise letting clutch out into 1st

Hello

ive searched high and low for what the bell is going on and developed in my 350z 6 speed.

It’s not clutch chatter or wheel bearing .

See video attached , at 11 seconds and 20 second mark you hear a rattle . (Excuse the exhaust note)

But it is driving me insane , sounds like a loss washer on a nut or something rattling whilst letting clutch off into 1st gear.

any thoughts ideas suggestions would be great

thanks

The video was cut short, only 10.5-11 seconds long.

When idling in neutral, with clutch pedal out, it's perfectly normal to hear a whirring sound from the bell housing. If you get a lot of rattle noise when putting into 1st gear, then it's either clutch disc chatter or torsional vibration from a light weight flywheel install. Worst case scenario, the input shaft bearing on the transmission is going out.

Here's a thread with some good info, older thread, but still applicable.

Default Unsure

Hey thanks for reply, video was short as upload was to big for full one.

no noises in neutral , just literally a rattle sound when out into first and releasing clutch . Sounds like a washer and nut are loose when releasing clutch out.

Yeah, different clutches will have different noises. The factory flywheel and pressure plate are a more complex design with more moving parts. The OEM flywheel is dual mass with it's own spring system. The OEM pressure plate is also more intricate than most aftermarket replacements. If you have high mileage and still running the OEM stuff, I would consider replacement if you can't live with the noise. Worn throw-out bearings are also known to make a lot of noise
