While headed home the other day, I felt a shuttering from my transmission (cd008) while cruising in 6th. Once I got home and stopped the car, it stalled in neutral and idled in 6th. I was able to take off in neutral as if in 3rd gear and was able to use 6th once I got driving. Sometimes other gears grab and other times, I can’t take off in any gear other than neutral, but all other gears do stall the car. I assumed it was a bent shifter linkage, but the linkage looks pretty straight. Any ideas?

I figured I would be. I think it’s the shift fork for 5th and 6th. It’s actually 5th it drives in and 6th is also 5th. It also gets stuck in 5th for a short time until I take off.
