Let me see what I have on the other runs. Sometimes the the dyno guy does not hit the record button soon enough.

Bottom line is that it is that it does not really matter for our purposes below 3k, but the car is very drivable and is not too much different feeling than my car until the 5.5K rpm mark.

Funny stuff... never noticed that.

Guess I never pay attention to that myself, at the drag strip, road course, etc... I'm NEVER at that RPM.

Dragging - I slip the clutch at 3500
Road racing, when you shift you're NEVER below 4500rpm...

yeah, but for daily driving, below 3k is very important...espescially to save gas.

hmmm, not sure adding higher performance parts are good for you then. I mean, why would you be concerned with power if you're driving in traffic not trying to go fast?

I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, just saying...

I agree it'd be nice to see the 2-3k range, but I think most people are mostly concerned with the 4k-redline range

Sure we are . . .weight reduction

more gas spent = less money in wallet = lower curb weight

More often than not, when you put these parts on the car, you tend to be "in the gas" more often, thus using more fuel. Its the nature of the beast.

yeah, well of course we'd all like more power. but as a daily driver around LA...with our hellish traffic, below 3k is important as well.

and though id spend thousands to get more power, that doesnt mean i dont mind getting 3 mpg around town.

damnit. maybe i should just move out of LA away from the traffic and the expensive 91 octane crap.

Modding your car isn't for you bro!

Anything that is going to make power is going to incur more fuel.

It will use more fuel at WOT, but the mods I have done thus far have resulted in better fuel economy when driving on the conservative side. On the other side, when I am driving hard, it uses more fuel than it did before. Lightening rotational weight, such as pulleys, flywheels, and wheels are going to increase your fuel economy when driven easy, and power when driven hard. It's a win win situation!

i hope you guys take the wraps off this soon, i'm starting to run out of engine mods without touching what i think are the crawford parts i'm going to have to buy as part of the package.

after this current round of mods and a round of suspension / wheels mods, your package is the next in line... so i put that about 4-6 weeks out... tick tock

Waiting on finishing up the first round of the cast plenum introduction orders.

As soon as time gets back to us, we will start again on the 300 hp project. My guess is by the end of the month.

maybe before 3.2K it was just so close that the Dyno decided that it would just be better to record it when it started changing

It'll be interesting to see what the full 300hp Crawford tune up package will sell for. If the price isn't too high, it could be a more practical approach for a lot of people over FI, although FI seems to give the most horsepower per dollar invested.
