Doug,
Shouldn't the main focus be on tricking the ecu into thinking everything is hunkydory, emissions-wise?

... and simply band-aid the solution?

If it's not right, we're not doing it... and without leaking it we just made another big gain. We're VERY close to goal.

I drove the car the other night, and good LORD does it pull hard up top!

Are you guys only working a solution for the pre-2004.5 ECU's? If so, you'll be losing my business...

It's not us who is working on the ECUs... you guys need to get on the various companies, Technosquare and AA, etc... to get it cracked.

The parts we do work on ANY car... as for if we will work with a vendor to have them offer a tune for our newest package is undetermined.

Doubtful... if I'm correct you typically want the same IN/EX duration, etc... for FI. These are not...

The key with the setup, is smooth idle... and pass emissions.

We hit 284, looking for more.

The heads were mistakenly over machined, and we decided to try them anyway. They would be PERFECT for a F/I car as the exhaust ports flow too well for out use. We have the correct set of heads that we spec'ed on the way. If anyone is interested in a set of highly worked heads for F/I, give me a call.

Good news is we are working with the most aggressive intake cams that we know of anyone trying and the car is running good and no CEL. We will probably try some different cams again and see if we can achieve our goal.

Just to give you an idea of what we have power wise we will post a dyno graph of my car stock vs. the last dyno . . .it is most impressive but not where we want to settle.

Thanks for your interest!

keep up the good work. hmm would those "overmachined" heads work well with a nitrous setup? And will you still see NA gains with the head or?

Is this because there is no power to be had here?
I've heard the stock exhaust flows pretty well stock once the headers and cats are replaced...

TQ is GREAT!

I will try to post the graph this afternoon.

We overlayed it on a E46 M3 dynograph at the dyno shop . . .so so sad!

is there an estimated price and estimated time frame for availability of the mods. I am trying to make a decision on which way to go with my car in terms of staying na or going fi. If you guys are getting 280+ rwhp na then I may just go this route.

Really the exhaust offering is well taken care of by the other companies. Our favorites are the Borla and Fujitsubo. Doug really likes the borla, and runs it on his car. I really liked stock sound, so I stuck with fujitsubo. Collectively, our least favorite is the stillen, due to sound and weight even though its shows a bit more power.

Yes the stock flows well and really the advantages of an aftermarket exhaust is the sound and better flow due to pipe size (or true dual).

Make no mistake, Doug will not be satisfied until he tickles the 300 hp mark. So that is the time frame . . . . . .who knows right?

We are at the mercy of the head guys, the cam, guys, the ecu guys, and the miller light delivery truck. We are also at the mercy of Doug’s personal time . . .people often forget that he owns and operates Crawford Z Car Service which is a daily handful as well as all the performance part research, development, testing, tuning, ordering, shipping. He has multiple projects going right now and its hard to stay on one thing long enough to always have an update.

The few of us that help out only scratch the surface of what goes on.

Back on topic . . .
Price will not be cheap. It will be a good alternative to those that don’t want to risk their engine to F/I troubles.
