Not similar... our own design, and was being planned long before APS was on this site.

Might be a little off-topic, but, will Crawford ever consider making a cat-back exhaust?

What was the name of that stealthy submarine made famous in the Civil War? The Constitution? I think its nickname was "old ironsides", but i could be wrong. That was the first thing i thought of when i saw that plenum...maybe thats what you should name it.
When you say "cast" do you mean cast iron? Shouldn't it be some superlightwt material to decrease wt, like the kinetix?

It is cast aluminum just like the stock plenum and what APS is planning to do. This new Crawford plenum is the same design as their previous plenum, but created in a mold so that there are no aluminum welds. The welds are what many people thought was ugly about the earlier versions.

eh people are too damn picky. The welds look fine.

I thought the reason Crawford was doing a cast was for additional high strength for extreme high horsepower

Stealthy submarine... in the Civil War? The Constitution was indeed a sea-faring vessel, but it was a war ship the US built in the late 1700's to help defend against pirates and those pesky British!

that's what happens when talking about something that doesn't exist...things start to wander off topic.
Back off topic, what i am referring to is the cool submarine-like ship i first saw in my history book back in high school. It had no sails, sat very low in the water, looked like an early submarine...anyone know what i am referring to? Well, THAT ship is what the new crawford plenum reminds me of (back on topic for
axxizzer).

Guys, Doug is frustrated things haven't gone faster with the "project" as well, but you can't blame Crawford. Please remember that R&D (read: trial and error) on this type of thing can take some time, especially when Crawford has to depend on the timetables of others they can't control to get things done. Bottom line: Doug isn't dragging his feet here. Just chill, and good things will happen.
