Crawford "Tune-up"
well . . . still not there. A/F is still not consistent and the timing is killing us. May have to change the cam specs abit. First thing is first, computer has to sent back. Major decision time at Crawford's. There are improvements to be made, as the power this thing makes is very good even when we have timing and fuel issues. It HAS to be perfect, or Doug wont sell it.
What kind of gains can be anticipated from Tomei 268 cams? I am seriously interested in going all out NA but if cams with proper tuning can't yield good results on the Z... Well let's not think about that. :P Anyone have Tomei cams and can give some impressions? Gas Mileage? Power?

Any of the available cams will work, but the fuel and timing maps may need to be different for each cam and the hp/tq curves will look a bit different. I'm sure there is a nice "sweet spot" and that is exactly what Doug is trying to find and still maintain legal emissions results. The more aggressive cams would yield high end power but could easily push the emissions testing out the window.

What decision did Doug end up making? Did he change his "radical" cam profile a bit, or is he working on the computer? At least tell us what his game plan is, even if you don't completely let the cat out of the bag on the performance.numbers...
