The Official LS Swap Info/Questions Thread
Hey Brew_haha, I was looking at the fueld racing kit for the CARB legal ls swap i'm planning and got a question for you. How well does the shifter match up with the stock shifter location with that kit?
The fueled racing kit uses the stock shifter location as long as you use a GTO shifter and shifter block. So if you have a LS1 trans you need the GTO shifter and shifter assembly. Im using a billet pro shifter its one of the better short shifters but stock is fine as well.
Fueled racing kit looks nice and i live the fact it uses the stock ahifter but cleanse it the rear would be the issue i would run into with the way i have my motor bay set up
04.350- there is still room left in the rear but not much. but you shouldnt have anything stopping you from having your motor that far back. All of your brake lines and wiring are still behind the secondary firewall. You can always remove that to gain some knuckle room if you wanted like royal_t and quamen did. If you have doubts I'd like to see your setup to see what you might think is stopping you from using the fueled kit.
Im still running a heater core. And with the an fittings and whatnot to make it right there's alto of used space back there that i would lose with the fueled racing kit. Personally i am quite pleased wit the sikky kit even with the shifter issues. I just wish they were more proactive with a solid fix rather than leaving it up to me and my money to fix something when ot should have need researched before produced.

Joining the club! For a multitude of reasons going LS1. VQ and assorted parts are out. Sourced my donor motor, and ironically it is in a Mk3 Supra, LOL. It was one of our chump cars, but basically a 2001 corvette LS1, WS6 tranny. Will finish the season in the Supra and when the tax return check comes in, will make the swap.
It is definitely a high rpm intake but I have nitrous so it should be perfect! I am still debating what rpm to spray at... I am starting to think from 3,500 and up so the stall can soften the hit.
I saw this on some of the other forums. They are currently working on a clutch for us as well. Hoping that they are able to come out with a clutch to replace my RPS. Nothing wrong with it, just want to use their product and give them a chance to get into the import market. They have a great rep with the LS motors, so hopefully the transition to us is great as well. 24 WARRANTY ON THEIR CLUTCHES AS WELL.

Here is the write up I found.
Hello all,
FINALLY!!!! We are very proud to announce our twin disc lineup for the GM LSx based platforms!
Our new billet aluminum twin discs are designed, tested, built, and assembled here in house to the strictist tolerances to ensure you guys are getting your monies worth. We're so confident in our new twins that we put a TWO YEAR warranty on these units, that's yet another industry first! With the ability to hold from 700hp to 1500 and beyond we're confident we've got a twin for you. Every part of the clutch is made in the United States of America, absolutely nothing on these units are brought in from overseas. We feel these are the best twin disc units on the market, bar none. Not only do these have excellent street manners they can take a severe beating as well.
At two plus years in the making we're not screwing around. These things have to be an improvement upon our already incredibly popular singles and push the envelope of the twin disc market beyond what most of you are used to. You won't find any stamped steel import pressure plates stacked on top of two discs, you're not going to find any sub par parts inside, all you're getting is American made quality that will handle the rigors of daily driving and track abuse.

Below are some key elements to our twins -
One piece billet aluminum covers
4140 floater and pressure plates
Progressive rate diaphragm springs (Very important! We don't use "break over" type springs on our twins, this means you have a steady pedal pressure and ZERO high rpm shifting issues as these have been tested to 10,000 rpm)
Organic with marcel spring and Ceramic Matrix Frictions
Billet Steel flywheels with two weight options (28# for the masses and 18# for the crazy road racing/autocross guys that are looking for the lowest MOI possible)
Fully rebuildable (Rebuilding your clutch also resets your 2 year warranty!)
An actual stable feeling clutch pedal (Gone are the days of the puny clutch pedal that has no feedback and gets limp when you're using and abusing it, our diaphragms give steady pressure every time)
Balanced from us as an assembly
Tested and proven at rated hp/tq, no gimics or bs
We are currently taking orders for these clutches with expected ship times (depending on sales volume) 1-3 weeks from your time of purchase. We'll be doing all we can to get these out in a timely manner, however, please understand that a lot of folks have waited two years for us to release these, there will be a bit of a delay initially.

I know I have found this in this thread before but there are so many pages now so if someone could help me out with this I'd appreciate it. The VQ is on its way out over the next few days and the LS1 is going in. My G35 is an auto and I'm also putting the t56 in. I have the GTO Pedal assembly but what are you guys doing for your pedals? Using factory brake, clutch and modified gas? Or whole new assembly? Also, anyone running the MAS air flow sensor or did you tune to not use it? What would you guys suggest? With that being said, can someone point me in the right direction to build my intake?
Thanks for all the help guys! Cant wait to get this up and running
