Guys I have an urgent question, I'm ABOUT to close on a full motor/tranny pull from a 05 CTS-V in 30 mins.
I found out the that T56 that comes in those is different, so i need last minute advice on whether that one will work with any of the kits (fueled racing for example), or if I would need to try to get him to break it up and sell me the ls6 only, then get a T56 from a GTO

I ended up getting just the engine. Didn't remember that info specifically from the threads and didnt' get the info from the few searches that I did on the site. Only had 30 mins to finalize the decison, and the tranmission itself was overpriced, so I decided to just get the engine and get a gto t56 when the time/price is right.
Anyways, very excited about the swap.

Alright, so I have been in and out of this thread and read alot about other chassis and LS swaps, but what seemed like the biggest concern was wiring for this swap. I do not care to go through 69 pages to get a partial answer... My question is, is there a wiring harness or a guide to making an LS engine work out there.
Also, what other hurdles are there?
It turns out people want my 1993 RX7 more than I do, so I am building a budget again, and come to find out the Z/G platforms prices are so much lower nowadays.

Will be exchanging the cable driven for a 102 drive-by wire tb since I wanna run a vipec to be able to keep the traction control and other perks to keep it a full DD. Cass I just went thru your whole thread. Great info!

I'm just finishing up putting a heads and cam ls1 in my z. I made my own mounts viruses a few of the sikky parts. I let them do the harness. Does anyone have pics of what they did with there computer placement with the batter or did everyone relocate it?
for those of you running a DBW throttle body are you able to use the 350z pedal still? and what PCM are you using?
should I opt. to get a cable operated throttle body instead? and use an f-body PCM?

I think I read a while back some members were using the 240sx pedal and the Lokar cable. I think someone modded the Z pedal to work as well.
Pretty disappointing that the guys who have experience on the swaps dont seem to care to help the guys who are currently undertaking the process :/

I wish someone posted the perfect ingredients for a simple LS1 swap. Seems this thread has so much info but its here and there bc its a cluster fck!!! Im back on the LS bandwagon. And doing most of the swap myself. THen to CIN for wiring and tune
I just bought my kit from Mark (snyperZ) hoping to get a couple stuff from him too that he has laying around. Engine should be on the way here shortly
