Currently I have a 2003 Nissan 350z with a Turbonetics single turbo kit. The motor currently has 49,xxx original miles. I’m pulling the turbo vq this weekend. I’ve been building a 5.7L LS1 over the past 6 months.

Mellings 10296 oil pump
ls2 timing chain

ls7 lifters w/ ls2 trays

Ls6 valley cover

Holley Sniper fuel rail
(new gaskets, seals, water pump, thermostat, orings, plugs, wires)

ISR motor/ trans mounts

If it was me ... I would keep your turbo'd in-tact and find a salvaged / high mileage z and do the LS swap in it.

i was 100 percent debating the same thing. It was just hard to sell my wife on letting me buy another Z. Then I feel guilty on ruining such a clean low mile Z.
So I came to the conclusion I’m ok with doing the swap because I plan on keeping the car for a long time and it would be extremely hard to find another cheap z that is as clean outside and in.
Here is the turbo setup, very clean and I currently have the motor, trans and turbo kit up for sale. The day I picked up the motor. I think I drove from Panama City all the way to Jacksonville Fl I started tearing everything down and cleaning the block.
Looking back - circa 2010 I started gutting my car and essentially took a +/-$20k 45k mile touring model z33 and cut it's value in half. I have no intention of selling my car so it's not a huge thing but still
