Hey BlueBatmobile
Hey man... I remember you and I think Zipps were going to try to make the clear corner markers... any word? I have a feeling sor what ever bizarre reason, this stupid piece of plastic is impossible to make
I just can't bring myself to paint it out black while keeping the amber strip slit open.

I AM IN THE EXACT SAME SITUATION AS JERGENS...I AM FINISHING UP DIS-ASSEMBLY OF THE HEADLIGHTS TONIGHT AND I REALLLLLY WANT THESE CLEAR CORNER LENSES, BUT IF THEY AREN'T AVAILABLE, I PLAN ON JUST REMOVING THE AMBER STRIP AND LEAVING IT EMPTY FOR NOW. HOPE TO HEAR SOME GOOD NEWS SOON!!!
Its expensive, I wish anyone luck that tries it. I certainly didnt have much luck.
I beleive the problem lies in it having a sphere shape. so you cant really use a flat sheet, could, but fitment might be questionable. like trying to lay a picture of the globe on a flat sheet.
and its so thin that resin has a hard time curing; atleast thats the main excuse Ive gotten from my caster. further, it being so thin makes it difficult to get bubbles out.
perfect world youd have them ABS injected as nissan did, but they arent the same, so now you have 2 molds at 10-20grand. and unfortunatly though it appears popular, when it comes down to it, Ive sold 20(and shipped 10 of those), and have inquiries from about 7 more that want emails. that isnt THAT many to ever justify the cost of the mold, unless their paying 500$ a peice.

Hey Ares... any idea how much further down the list I am?
Are you still cranking them out or did you make ten and throw in the towel? Bummer man, pisses me off that this is so difficult for us.

nope, havent thrown in the towel, Im still keeping up the the guy doing the work, but he gives a new meaning to slow. their quality was flawless, no less of a word could describe them. you could ask the lucky few that have them. they were simply perfect. and the price is right. he's just slow, incredably slow...

I have tried contacting several plastic and molding companies and I was shocked at the cost of getting these things made. Most places wanted no less than $100 each piece even if I wanted to get 50 or more made. That mean I would have to come up with 5k up front just to buy them.
