Default Are evo-r leds too rice?

Just curious what you guys think?

I loved them at first but now Im debating between the white and the amber....or getting them at all. They look great, but I dont want them to be a spectacle, and take away from the class I believe the Z has.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

I'm curious about this one also. I never see any Z's with them installed and I always wondered if it was because of the rice factor. I like them but could never decide which color to go with.

not much....just got it.

PPW.....my plan was to go with the balck on white contrast thing.

ie- tint, smoked headlight overlays (not full, the one over the amber strip), AND the smoked evo-r's in white originally or maybe amber now, or maybe not at all.

I was dead set on the white ones......then started second guessing myself.

the blue is out cause blue is so synonymous with rice now.......but the white looks good matched with the OEM HID's and a PIAA white LED parking light.

yeah the clearcorners one is ridiculous....

I think the white would be good if all the lights matched, so it wouldnt really stick out.

Thats what i like about the amber.

I think they are rice, even if they are amber.

man ur going to get every response imaginable on these boards. it all boils down to personal preference. personally, i love them. didnt know if i wanted white, or amber, so i made my own. your choice man. but i can tell you that no matter what color u get, one of the cleanest things u can see is to see a Z drive by with led sidemarkers. i love it.

I have amber sidemarkers with 3 leds in them, and I have the Z badge with the ring around it and three leds in the Z, all amber in color. Using a "black box", these lights are always on with either the parking lights or the regular lights. If the turn signal is on or the four ways, then they all blink at the same time. I think it looks very good with the amber, not ricey at all.

I've had my Evo-R whites for over 2 years, and they look fine. It really turns heads at night. Besides, it looks good with CS :-)

Someday I'm going to swap out those white LEDs that come with it, though. I want a more natural white color.

I love the way they look...they are actually based on a concept of the Z before it was released:

Hey thanks for the pics. I have a PPW as well, and Im considering the smoked overlays as well for the headlights. Do you have any daytime pics from the front with the overlays on.... cant find one anywhere. Also like the leds on a white z. Doesnt stand put as much, which i like.

thanks

dude you're the man.......just what i was looking for.

Im also planning on the lower valance overlay and the emblem filler overlays. And then maybe a grilltech grill in black. Maybe the 3/10 overlays on the back lenses. Love the white/black thing. Alawys have. Add some gunmetal or black wheels and watch out!

Thanks again that one front shot made up my mind on the overlays. looks good.
