1.)Actually, I don't need my job for the money... I just wanted to get that stepping stone so when i can have a decent job it shows that I have more experience. I also work in a law firm filing papers and whatnot, so it's an easy job.
2.) I told my parents I would have settled with a scion tc.... but they said no we don't want you having a four seater, it's more of a chance for you to haul your friends around... and they sure as hell wasn't going to get me a miata... so yeah... that's how I ended up with a Z....
3.) All hate and bitterness comes from jealousy... you sound very bitter in your response, and I do feel hostility out of it... I have what you wanted... so don't give me that ******** about being modest and what not...
4.) you don't need to respect me... I don't care.
5.) and don't chu talk about my momma!! or dad for that fact... --- it wouldn't be their fault if anything happend to me, and I know I'm not invincible, but I know i'm atleast responsible.
6.) I like the fact that I'm younger than most of the Z owners...

1) You proved my point. A stepping stone, I can understand, but you don't even need it, which proves my point.
2) Haul your friends around? Lets get this straight--
2005 Scion tC - 2 door 4 seats - $16k - 160 hp Front Wheel Drive
WAY less chances to get hurt, even if you filled all 5 seats. Your parents should be more concerned with YOU getting yourself hurt, not your friends distracting you - its obvious they feel nothing is ever your fault, another point proven thank you.
2005 Nissan 350z - 2 door 2 seats - $27k - 287 hp REAR wheel drive
A sports car the size of a sardine can with a low roofline. Although proven very strong, the lack of experience can be deadly in ANY situation (car, life, place of work). But atleast you'll only hurt one of your good friends instead of 5 right? Suuuure.
3) Quite honestly, my family is very wealthy. But we have something not all people have. Pride and common sense. I'm the result of a proper upbringing, my sister however (which matches your entire mindset--everyones wrong but you) is the result of the lack of a proper upbringing.
4) You're right.
5) You're also right again. Its not their fault if you get hurt. But they're influencing it by giving you the opportunity. They're handing you the keys to something way beyond your capabilities. Theres a little thing called "regret", they'll realize it later.
6) Really? You like the fact you didn't have to do anything to earn the car? Pay the car? Spend your hard earned minimum wage every month just so you can have it in your driveway let alone in your possession? You're SO much better off than we are arn't you. Give me a break, you proved my point again.
Dude .... you need to relax... why don't you just give her a warm welcome to the forum .... so what if she got a Z and she's only 16 .... you have no right to tell anyone what kind of a car they can drive and do with it .... she's here in the forum to ask advice, learn more about the car, etc....
all I can is Welcome to the Forum ... enjoy your brand new car ... and just like what everyone's saying .... be careful out there ... drive safe ..

I knew it was only a matter of time someone would say something like that. I completely understand, and again i'm not trying to beat her up. I'm just simply making some points. Quite frankly I cannot stand situations like this because in my personal opinion, it doesn't make any bit of sense. And like everyone else on this forum or any forum - people are allowed to have opinions. I didn't necessarily think I was taking it into my liberty to tell her what she can and cannot drive - only giving her a piece of my mind of what I think of the situation. Of course thats quite irrelevant to the topic, but needed to be said and I couldn't contain myself any more.

AS FOR ALL OF YOU OTHER GUYS OUT THERE....
Thanks for the warm welcome, and the drive safe tip much appreciated... and for all of the suggestions you guys had...
I have to agree with Kim...honestly, right now she seems more mature than MikeNT256 IMO. She knows when to stop and what to say.
MikeNT256: Honestly man...it's just a Z. Yes it's a great car and all, but it's all relative to one's financial perspective. We respect that in YOUR OPINION, it is a car made for older and more financially stable individuals, but in MY OPINION, it's just a car. I do love it, but it's not the greatest car in the world. Honestly if I only asked, my dad could have gotten me 10 Enzo's plus a couple helicopters...because he is the CEO of an airline. But so what? I don't prance around in the forum with that or try to make everyone think the way I do. There are so many aspects that make up great parenting, thus concluding that her parents spoil her just because they gave her a relatively good car is so (sorry to say) ignorant. Ok, your parents brought u up a right way for you, does not mean that others are brought up the wrong way just because the parenting skills differ. First, you are not them. Second, your parents are not their parents. I believe all parents are good and mean well for their kids. And I do also believe your parents brought you up well even though it differs with my parents' parenting skills.
You have to be able to accept that there are variances, and that's the beauty of the society today. Open your mind, and you will see what I mean. If you can't stand it, simple...don't click on this thread anymore. It was your choice to come in even though you said you can't stand it. Why then, may I ask?
Anyways this thread has gone on long enough, and it's so unrelated to the topic already. I just hope people can be more understanding and objective in their comments, instead of adding subjective comments unrelated to the topic.
Sorry for the long read...but let's get back on topic now...
Kim, I'm still young...its ok...
...........oh that's not the topic?? sorry...hahaha

I know a guy who will be selling his Invidia exhaust (like mine) soon because he is getting sick of how LOUD it is...lol. The Invidia/RSR is the loudest, cleanest exhaust that Ive heard for the Z to date, and Ive heard a LOT of Z exhausts. The most sophisticated sounding exhaust IMO is the NISMO, it sounds a lot like a sport bike at wide open throttle, but isnt nearly as loud as the invidia. He will be selling it for around $400, Ill keep you posted. As far as suspension goes, hotchkis and tein are always good bets, stay away from eibach, I know a few guys who REALLY didnt like it.

This here is the best advice that has been given in this entire thread.
intake provides a nice hissing/growl sound
springs provide a nice stance as well as slightly better handling
a bikini provides neck-breaking abilities
