i let my car in the body shop for 1 month to paint my buddy club2 kits. but first he told me just about a week to do it. until a month now they not do it yet. when i call him he said don't call when he finish then he will call me. the first week i stop by the car not thing happen, then second week again just talk the factory out and another week he just primer the rear bumper. then now a month pass by i did not hear any thing from him again. i actualy don't want to call him again, but i worry that he will charge me alots of labor after all, because he told me that he put alot hour on it's. do you guy have any idea how to deal with this.... some commend please.
Sounds fishy. You need to get your car out asap. Did you get estimate or quote for the work? Mine only took 5-6 days to paint and install. KenStyle bodykit for my G35, includes front/rear bumpers, sideskirts and Ings fenders.
i have been through shops in and out. typically for a just a body should really take a week no more that a week and a half. make sure u keep all the records of the qoute just in case they try to pull any fast ones.
I would've just given them the kit to paint, thne take it home with me when it's done to install. I would never let my car sit around a paint shop for a month, or even a day for that matter. Why you would even let this go on this long is un-beknown to me but you need to go in there nad get your car outta there. Take it no matter how it is, partially finished or whatever and don't pay them a dime. They gave you a time-frame and are in no way within that time frame so you have every right to pull the plug on the production.
