this is a pic of my car recently at one of the local meets. my car had gotten into a pretty bad accident that tore up the entire passenger side of the car. i didnt want to half of the car not to match so i opted to repaint it. i wanted to paint it a brighter hue because i felt the ppw was too dull. well here is the pic, and it's kinda in the shadow so you can't really see the brightness of the white. i'll try and get more pics at the local meet this weekend.

it it Pearl White or reg white? I guess we would need a OEM PPW side by side with yours.

 

it's a reg white. i wish i had some pics of it next to a ppw, i might hafta go take a pic next to the PPW ZR down my street, the owner might get suspicious if i parked my car next to his without his consent.

i took some pics yesterday next to my buddy's supra, his is toyota supra white II (040) and my car is slightly brighter.

and like i said, its a bad pic, i didn't take it, some local hooha (wassup jeff =X) took it.

 

I like it, definitely more of a "race car" white.

I'm also a big fan of the PPW but i've noticed that it looks dingy or offwhite (like colored teeth) when another white car is next to it.

 

I would've gotten that cadillac white...that is a hot white!

but the cadillac white is even more dull. its like a yellowish-white with pearl. my MR2 was originally painted that color and i had to repaint it because the brighter white complimented the body lines better.

It'll be easy to color match with anything you want to put on the car, it'll stand out with some wheels too...

I was watching these tuner videos from Japan and alot of the Z enthusiasts or big tuner shops over there paint their car this "super white" or pure white to match the Silvias and Skyline GTR's (maybe a patriotic thing?).
It's more a sports car/ race color.

All the other performance Japanese cars come with this bright white (Supras, NSX's, GTR's , S2000's, EVo's, STi's even the 300ZX) I don't know why they never made it for our 350.

Too much pearl with white looks sort of gaudy on the Z.
It's not a Cadillac OR a Lexus. Even Mercedes and BMW try to steer clear from these colors.

at the end of the year i am getting a respray, i have some rock chips, plus nissan paint is bad

i was going to do the same thing, whiten it up a bit, to get rid of the yellow,

only i was planning of having some silver flake in the paint, with a purple pearl thru the clear coat...

purple pearl is open for suggestions though, i have 12 months to decide..
i have only seen 1 white zed where i live, so it is still a rare colour. plus i like my zed white ..
i just want to have something special thru the white...
and a few extra coats of clear

 

looks like a plain "flat white", i like it

 

i have a ppw z, and my mom has a pearl caddilac CTS........there is no way i would trade colors, i see them parked side by side every day and the ppw color is much better imo

 

love the white z....although i prefer the pearl-cream looking white of PPW. plus the PPW sets it apart from the flat white of maximas and altimas.
personally if i were to repaint my ppw, i would have gone for the a white that accentuate the pearl/cream of the PPW
